I am excited to be the fourth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher this year at Bridge Point Elementary. I am originally from Pennsylvania and have lived in France and San Francisco. I attended college at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, studying art and French. I completed my teaching credential while teaching at the French-American International School in San Francisco and then my Master's degree in art and art education at Teacher's College, Columbia University. Most recently, I taught fifth grade language arts at BPE and worked in AISD teaching fourth grade reading and writing.
When I am not teaching fourth grade, I teach children's yoga on the weekends. I look forward to integrating mindfulness into the lives of my students this year. In my spare time, I enjoy anything creative and recently took up calligraphy. I got married two years ago in the summer to my best friend, Tom. We live in East Austin and can be found kayaking with our dog Levi on Ladybird Lake and exploring all that Austin has to offer. I look forward to a great year with your students, as we grow and learn together in fourth grade. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns- my email is [email protected] and my conference period is from 10:05-10:55. |
